REVOL VENTURES

How it works

A repeatable cycle from assumption to evidence.

Every venture moves through the same disciplined loop. Technology and expert support are introduced only when they help test a hypothesis or improve a commercial outcome.

The cycle

Seven steps. Repeated until the evidence is clear.

  1. 01

    Founder Hypothesis

  2. 02

    Customer Evidence

  3. 03

    Measurable Experiment

  4. 04

    Observed Results

  5. 05

    Independent Assessment

  6. 06

    Founder Decision

  7. 07

    Next Commercial Milestone

The objective is not to maximize activity. It is to improve the quality of decisions and create measurable progress.

The phases

What happens, and when.

01

Diagnose

Week 1–2

A structured intake covering customer, buyer, problem, current traction, and resources. Output: a baseline venture profile and a ranked list of critical assumptions.

02

Hypothesize

Week 2

Turn the riskiest assumptions into testable hypotheses with clear success and failure criteria agreed before testing begins.

03

Validate

Weeks 3–8

Run customer interviews, pricing tests, pilots, and acquisition experiments. Log evidence weekly with source, buyer role, and date.

04

Evaluate

Gate reviews

Independent advisors review evidence quality and interpretation at defined gates. They challenge; they don't decide.

05

Execute

As needed

Where evidence reveals a specific constraint, scoped expertise or implementation support can be brought in to address it.

06

Progress

Ongoing

Founders commit to the next commercial milestone with a documented rationale — and the cycle continues.

In practice

What a traceable decision looks like.

Every step links back to its source. Anyone reviewing the venture — the founder, an advisor, or an approved investor — can see how a conclusion was reached.

  1. 01 · Customer interview

“We spend every Monday arguing with carriers about invoice line items.”

Ops Manager, 3PL · Interview #7 · transcript on file

  2. 02 · Hypothesis

Ops teams at 3PLs will pay to automate carrier-invoice dispute resolution.

    Confidence: low → medium

  3. 03 · Experiment

    Quote a $1,200 90-day pilot to 7 qualified buyers.

Success threshold set in advance: ≥ 2 acceptances

  4. 04 · Decision

3 of 7 accepted. Founder proceeds with pilots and narrows ICP.

    Decision owner: founder

  5. 05 · Independent review

Advisor confirms evidence quality; flags onboarding cost as open risk.

Gate 2 · reviewed by independent advisor
